A FREE inspiring guest talk by Will Reed, Director of the Boat Building Academy, Lyme Regis, on Friday 14th March. The talk will take place at Salcombe Yacht Club and offers a fantastic opportunity for young people to discover the exciting world of boat building, craftsmanship, and career pathways in the marine industry.
The talk will include:
– Stunning images of boats being built and launched
– Inspiring stories from students, including bursary recipients
– Insights into career opportunities in boat building & furniture making

The Boat Building Academy is a charity that trains students from all walks of life, from age 16 to 85, and actively supports young people with bursaries. They also work closely with Women in Boat Building to encourage more female participation, with this year being the first time they have more women than men on their flagship course!
