On Monday 5th May we will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day which marked the end of the war in Europe and WWII as a whole.
We will be inviting people to bring their picnic blankets, friends and family, and enjoy a day in Cliff House Gardens. There will be entertainment, games, a flotilla and sunshine (!).
The Salcombe minibus has arranged to transport people to the event for 1pm. Please call MArgaret Moore on 01548 842006 to book a place.
On National VE Day which is Thursday 8th May, there will be a service at Holy Trinity Church at 2.30pm, a wreath laid at the War memorial at 4pm, and bell ringing at 6.30pm.
