Passionate about boating on the Salcombe Estuary.
Self-Drive Boat Hire
Whitestrand is a friendly, family-run business, offering excellent customer service and safe, quality boats for hire in Salcombe. We have the largest hire fleet in South Devon with boats large enough to take up to 8 passengers. We have two new boats being added to the fleet this year. Whether you wish to explore the estuary, visit a pub with friends for lunch or hang out on the beach with the family, we have the boat for you. No experience or qualifications are required, we will show you where you can go and how to get there. Fuel and life jackets included. Booking in advance is strongly recommended.
Fishing Trips
We are pleased to be the booking agent for two hour fishing trips on the skippered boat “Woodpecker”. Trips run up to four times per day from Easter through to October half-term. All prices include
lifejackets, rods and you can keep what you catch.
- Two hour trip – £30 per person
- Exclusive hire – £270
- Maximum number of passengers is 10
Advanced booking is advisable. Please note all trips are weather dependent and the skipper’s decision is final.
Electric Bike Hire
Take an electric bike for the day to explore Salcombe and it’s surrounding villages or keep one for the week at your accommodation so you can nip up and down the hill. An easy upright riding position lets you enjoy the view, while suspension forks and comfort saddle smooth out the contours so you can focus on beauty not bumps. Helmet and bike lock included. £50 per day or £250 for a week.
Paddle Board Hire
We have inflatable adult and child paddle boards (SUP) for hire. Collect from our shop in Whitestrand Car Park.
