East Portlemouth – Extensive beaches (fine sand/rocks). Best reached by ferry from Salcombe as road access is via minor roads. Shop and food next to the beach. Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Disabled access . ( These beaches are privately owned and no BBQ’s, Fires or Stoves etc. are permitted at any time. )
Soar Mill Cove – Isolated sandy beach with rocks, near Salcombe. No facilities or disabled access at beach. Parking and food 500 metres away at hotel.
Harbour Beach – Hope Cove Sandy beach with rocks. parking. All facilities and further parking in Inner Hope. Dogs allowed but must be kept on leads. Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Disabled access .
Mouthwell Beach – Hope Cove Sandy beach with rocks, close to Hope Cove’s shops, pub and restaurants. Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Disabled access • Dogs banned 1st May–30th September.
Thurlestone Sands – Long, coarse sandy beach with some rocks. More facilities nearby in Thurlestone village. Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Disabled access • Lifeguard May–Sept.

Mothecombe – Sandy sheltered cove and estuary beach. No disabled access. All facilities 500 metres from beach. Privately owned, only open Sat, Sun, Wed and Bank Holidays. (NB Nearby Coastguards Beach is open all week). Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Dogs banned 1st May–30th September.
Blackpool Sands – Excellent Blue Flag award-winning family beach with great facilities close to Dartmouth. Coarse sand. Beach shop • Toilets • Parking • Food • Disabled access • Dogs banned end March–1st November • Lifeguard May–September Blue Flag Award Lifeguards in summer.
